Frequently asked questions

Weapons for institutions

When will firearm imports reopen?

There is no date yet. Ministerial Agreement No. 089 of the Ministry of National Defense, dated March 2, 2026, prohibits importing firearms for civilian and commercial use until a new administrative act provides otherwise. Register your interest and we will let you know as soon as imports are enabled.

Who can acquire firearms right now?

The prohibition does not apply to imports authorized for the exclusive use of the Armed Forces, the National Police and complementary state security entities, subject to approval of a technical report justifying operational need.

What permits do I need to buy a firearm?

You need a valid permit issued by the competent authority (Armed Forces Joint Command) for the type of use. We guide you through the process.

Why are the Sierra 12 and submachine guns only for institutions?

They are military and police weapons. They can only go to the Armed Forces, the National Police and authorized entities.

We handle institutional requirements through official letters and formal processes.
